Lighthouse
Lighthouse is a holiday week for children between the ages of 4 and 11 run by Christians from local churches. In 2009 over 1600 children spent a week having fun and finding out more about Jesus and this number increases every year!

St Andrew’s Church is primarily involved with Lighthouse at two sites: Lighthouse Hazlemere at Sir William Ramsay School and Lighthouse High Wycombe previously at the Royal Grammar School but now at Highcrest Academy, Hatters Lane!.
Fresh Cafe also runs in the evenings during Lighthouse week, where young helpers relax, unwind and find out more about God.

Little Lighthouse for High Wycombe happens at St Andrew’s Church. Over 100 0-3year olds also get a chance to play, sing, do craft and eat loads of cake! Mum’s, dad’s and carers get share too!
As always the only limiting factor on the number of children we can take is the number of adult volunteers we have to act as leaders. There are a great variety of roles to be filled – lots working directly with the children, but loads of other tasks need doing, the shop, a welcoming cafe, registrations, site team, security, setting up and breaking site, PA & AV, admin tasks.
Do prayerfully consider if you’d like to be involved. Applications for 2012 leaders will be linked to from here.
The Space caters for children with special needs at Lighthouse. We think it is really important to help them feel included.
Have a look at Lighthouse for any other info and to keep in touch for 2012!
