"One Can Help" Events
One Can Help!
A “One Can Help!” food drive is a chance for your workplace/school/group to not only collect food but raise awareness of the needs of your local community. We will supply advertising posters, collection bins and shopping lists. Then your staff/friends can purchase a can (or more) and then bring them to work/school and pop them into our collection bin.
We can also supply our own volunteers to man the stands to talk to people about what we do and why and give out our shopping list. One Can Trust will come and collect your donations, which will be stored in our foodbank ready to be made into a parcel for delivery to individuals and families. We will feedback to you how your donations have “helped change lives for the better”.
If you are interested in having a One Can Help food drive at your organisation.workplace we can email your employer with our campaign proposal. Consider if you would be happy to be our in-house champion and supply all campaign promotional material and that all important collection bin. During the week of the 27th June-1st July, Bucks County Council hosted the One Can Trust’s first major food drive. 1200 employees based at County Hall in Aylesbury got the the chance to know “One Can Help” as collecting stations for food donations were set up around the building. They worked with us and provided articles in their magazine and on their website, put scereensavers promoting the drive on every computer in their building and had collecting bins all over their buildings.
