Pastoral Care & Counselling

Pastoral Care

Being a committed community is one of our values, and caring for one another is vital to our sense of community. We aim to offer pastoral care in a number of different ways:

Disciple groups are the place where members of our church can meet in small groups and care for one another, you can find out more about these on our disciple group page.

The Pastoral Care Team aim to give additional support to those in times of need, through visiting, prayer, home communion and practical help in the form of meals, lifts etc

We carry out Bereavement Follow up, both visiting and phone calls, to those bereaved we have contact with, for as long as is helpful to them.

We have an active Prayernet, with nearly 50 people committed to praying for urgent needs in the church and community.

Counselling

We appreciate that some people will need help over a longer period, and we encourage them to go for counselling where appropriate. There are trained counsellors within the congregation, and a christian counsellor who works from the church.
